Fortinet, a renowned Silicon Valley-based multinational cybersecurity firm, has reportedly announced that it is expanding the company’s partner-focused Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings with FortiCloud solutions.
Reports cite, through the expansion, Fortinet would be facilitating the industry’s most extensive portfolio of SaaS & Management-as-a-Service (MaaS) services. The number of services made available would provide Fortinet customers & partners the opportunity to choose cloud management & security offerings as their respective businesses grow.
According to a press release by Fortinet, the cloud security & management offerings are flexible, easy to manage, easy to implement and scalable. The extensive portfolio of FortiCloud Services would enable customers to strengthen their security vendor numbers to streamline their threat correlation.
The Vice President of Channel Sales, Fortinet, Jon Bove stated that the company is helping customers & partners in accelerating their cloud adoption by facilitating the industry’s more extensive MaaS & SaaS offerings. Bove further added that the FortiCloud Service facilitates company partners the opportunity to provide their customers with proven, easy to manage, scale and implement security solutions.
Currently, the FortiCloud Services include 10 SaaS & MaaS offerings, which also include the FortiGate Cloud Service; the company’s firewall management tool that is cloud-based. The tool is already experiencing quick growth boasting of 550,000 subscriptions.
The FortiSandbox Cloud service is similarly boasting of an adoption rate that has witnessed a 300% rate of growth, surpassing 125,000 licensed users. Moreover, customers seeking performance extensions that add value to their FortiGate UTM could also subscribe to services such as FortiWeb WAF, FortiMail SEG along with other offerings.
The costs associated with the additional FortiCloud Services offerings have not been unveiled by the company yet.
